Hi my name is Mark Carpenter, I am a husband, father, counselor and Christ follower.  I have been married to my wonderful wife since 1982. We have one daughter who is the apple of her daddies eye along with a great son-in-law.  During my childhood I lived all over the country but, I have become a converted southerner.  We live in Chattanooga always dreaming of the fall.  I am a learner at heart and that is the goal with my hobbies and interaction with others.  I think excitement is the process of learning with new experiences and friends.

I am passionate about helping to create change in Marriages, Families and leading others to a deeper understanding of their relationships.  My focus is connected marriages, connected families connected to God.  This blog is the avenue to create information and discussion about those passions.  Contentment and joy is found in connected relationship with God and others. Here are the relationships that I will write about:
  • Relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Relationship with Yourself
  • Relationship with Your Spouse
  • Relationship with Your Family
My goal is to publish approximately three posts per week.  To make sure you don’t miss my newest posts, you can subscribe via email.

  1. Hi, my name is Mark Carpenter. I am a husband, father, grandfather, chaplain, and Christ follower. I am passionate for bringing Jesus into the lives of first responders. I currently minister to the law enforcement community and continue to care for veterans whom we have loved since our two sons joined the Marine Corps years ago.

A name search of the internet brought me to this site. I pray that God will bless your ministry and am pleased to see how He is using Mark Carpenters to spread the Good News. If you travel east to the North Carolina Piedmont area please get in touch with me.

You have a great name but it pales in comparison to the name of Jesus.

Saw this article about “dark” personality traits, cross-referenced to “success.” Interesting read; conclusions well-supported by research. however, they didn’t account for mental disorders.

Are people with dark personality traits more likely to succeed?

    • That is a tough one Dwain. I think that we can all manipulate to a certain level of success but true lasting relationships are difficult with dark personality traits. They very seldom can build the level of trust that can sustain a relationship.
